High precision and next to no tolerance

To achieve the desired hole size the machines’ single point cutting tool is slowly moved into a pre-drilled or cast hole, gradually boing into the material in a controlled manner, resulting in an accurate larger hole. CNC boring machines can be used for a variety of application in an assembly line, such as boring holes for screws and bearings.

As boring can only produce a circle it isn’t practical for every project and in some instances milling may be more beneficial, allowing you to create almost any shape. However, if it is a large hole with high precision and next to no tolerance you require, CNC boring could be perfect for you.
